Creator Terms
Last updated · January 1, 1970
The deal between you and us – written to be read.
These terms apply when you publish a course, bundle, or digital product on Unlearn Academy. They sit alongside our general Terms of Service. Questions? Write to hello@unlearnacademy.app.
01
What you keep
You own your content. You always will. By publishing on Unlearn Academy you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, stream, and deliver that content to enrolled Unlearners – and to display excerpts for marketing the course itself. Nothing more.
02
No exclusivity
You're free to sell the same course on your own site, on Teachable, Podia, Kajabi, or anywhere else. We don't ask for exclusivity and we won't.
03
What you're responsible for
You're responsible for the content you publish – that you have the rights to use it, that claims of fact you make are made in good faith, and that it doesn't infringe anyone else's rights. If a third party brings a claim about your content, you carry it.
We back independent voices and don't gatekeep heterodox ideas. That trust runs both ways: publish what you mean, stand behind it, and don't put us in the line of fire for things you knew were false.

04
Acceptable content
No illegal content, no incitement to violence, no harassment of identifiable individuals, no content that sexualizes minors. We reserve the right – used sparingly and in good faith – to remove content that crosses these lines. Disagreement with the mainstream isn't a reason for removal; we're not in that business.
05
Pricing & discounts
You set your own prices. We will never run a platform-wide discount, sale, or campaign on your course without your explicit opt-in – no Black Friday auto-enrollment, no "everything 50% off" emails with your work in them. If we offer something, you choose to join.
06
Refunds
The platform default is final-sale, with refunds only for technical failure or double-charge – see the refund policy. You may offer a more generous policy on your own course; if you do, it's shown on the course page and takes precedence. Refunds are deducted from your next payout.
07
Payouts
Payments run through Stripe Connect. Once your Connect account is active, payouts follow Stripe's standard rolling schedule to the bank account you connect. You're responsible for your own taxes and for keeping your Stripe account in good standing.
08
Chargebacks
If a buyer disputes a charge with their bank, the chargeback amount and the Stripe dispute fee are deducted from your next payout. We'll share the evidence we have and help where we can, but the final decision sits with the card network.
09
Commission
Our commission per sale is set by your plan and listed on the pricing page. If we change the rate, we'll give at least 30 days' notice before it applies to your account.
10
Leaving the platform
You can remove your courses or close your account at any time. Unlearners who already bought a course keep their access for as long as the course remains available – that obligation survives cancellation. You can export the list of Unlearners enrolled in your courses whenever you want; that list belongs to you, not to us.
11
If we shut down
In the unlikely event we wind the platform down, we'll give at least 60 days' notice, help you export your content and your Unlearner list, and stop taking new commission as soon as the notice goes out.
12
Changes & disputes
Material changes to these terms are sent by email before they take effect. These terms are governed by Swedish law; disputes that can't be resolved by talking go to Stockholm District Court (Stockholms tingsrätt) as the first instance.
Plain words. Honest agreements.
